The Knack played Live 105's first BFD at Shoreline in the mid-90's when I was interning there and I got to see them 15 years after their glory days from backstage. They were the last band of the night after Oingo Boingo and the amphitheater was pretty much empty by the time The Knack went on. What a bunch of douches! They stormed backstage after their set all pissy and copping major rock star attitude. I loved every moment of it.
Owch. How did the Knack end up Headlining BFD? Wow.
Give me the Knack any day over Boingo.

I think Boingo was actually billed as the headliner and then The Knack was sort of the band they threw on while people were filing out after the long day ... Frente, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Rollins Band, Beck, Violent Femmes, Green Day, James, The Pretenders, Boingo and The Knack (in some assorted order).
God that was a great day for a college kid ... I lost count of all the sexual favors I was offered for my laminate or my Live 105 staff t-shirt. But I liked my internship too much so I wouldn't do it. Too bad we don't get do-overs in life ... I'd definitely change that.
Yeah, I'm a douche too. I just bought a PS3 after swearing I wouldn't do the multi-platform thing again ... but I wanted a damn Blu-Ray player.
Now you can play that "sword" game everyone is going ape shit over!
