The show was good. Sadly my health went to shit again mid-day yesterday so singing was very "interesting". But people seemed to like our performance, which is always nice.

Adam ,Craig, Jeff ,Mirv and keyboard dude, sorry don't know your name yet.I attended last nights gig and really enjoyed myself and the new tunes ,I think this diehard MIRV fan is now an MBO fan as well.
you know how your mind does the who does this sound like deal?
for me it was a beatles meets older bowie kind of thing you guys are such massively talented musicians i was sure i would dig the new sound.
As far as Tim's new Band ...
didn't work for me , thank god I had Kehoe to look forward to to drag me out of my boredom coma.
I love tTim dearly and am a diehard Primus fan but!!!

Sound wasn't as good as last few shows (MIRV and background vocals were too low) but very well played. Great to get a taste of new material... Mr. Gates is too self-critical. His vocals sounded very nice as usual.

One small point... Obama is distinguishable from Clinton in at least one way- he is polling better against McCain, which counts for a lot in my book.

Tim's band was kinda wankish... His drumming sounded great though, the bassist was purty, and I enjoyed the Zeppelin cover...

Possibly best show yet from Kehoe Nation. Serious sonic ass-kicking. Butthouse was extremely animated. Glad to see them come out of hibernation. Hopefully lots more to come from this lineup, IMO Kehoe's best ever (since M.I.R.V. of course).

That's good to hear.

Yeah, I keep seeing mixed reviews about Into The Presence. I happen to like their sound. The main complaint that I heard from people was Luis' voice.

He is a very good singer but his songwriting is kinda trite to my ears. His guitar tone is also very bland, although his playing was good.

He just strikes me as an exceedingly competent, if not particularly original, pop singer/songwriter with a very good rock band, and an exceptional drummer, backing him up. Worth checking out once, but not my cup of tea.

Show was awesome and I can't stop listening to this album. Delicious. So when's the next date/venue?

I didn't realise that mbo was going to be the opener, my idiot friend decided he need to change out his headlight at the last minute so we missed the beginning of the show. All in all superb show.

I can see where you're coming from, and I can't blame you. To me, though, some of those chords and progressions that he uses though, I like how they sound.

The guitar tone is a bit bland and overused by others. It's definitely nowhere close to my favorite guitar tone that I've heard thus far in my short existence (Steve Albini's tone on Shellac's "Prayer To God").

I'm very impressed by the honesty and really non judgemental comments that I have read re the gig.
I agree Luis voice and range is excellent, he is a very talented singer. I also agree that his guitar licks go nowhere .
Tim is a friggin amazing drummer and I did focus on his skills during the gig ...Herb's still got it fer sure dude.
This is an MBO site so after the gig and in the 3 days since I have played the cd again and again and I reall dig the shit out of it.
It ain't MIRV , but it isn't trying to be . Adam's talents as a singer songwriter and arranger SHINE on IDIOt and I am definately a new MBO fan!!!
