Recording Diary v39
Our pal Melissa came down again to say hi so we pushed a mic in her face and forced her to sing some doubled back ground harmony parts on "Anjuna." Expertly done! Sounds sweet and smooth. Thanks Melissa!!After that we set up one tube mic in front of the drums and I sat down and played a drum track (for the part A of the new tune Army Of The Dead) with Thomas playing percussion (hitting a steel sliding door, trash can) and Craig playing a tambourine. We then overdubbed a few more takes of all of us playing different percussion elements. This created a junk yard soundtrack with a dubious meter. I requested a retarded feel and I sure got it. It sounds real cool, especially after Craig ran it through some compression and the "11" plug in.
Then Thomas played the bass part in a few takes. Wonderful! Fabo! Awards all around! We are all playing instruments that we are least comfortable on for this track. Im in luck cause Im least comfortable on everything.
Then I went home and tried to beat the last boss in Assassin's Creed. Still can't do it..mother fucker. I hate how the last Boss fights in these video games are so much more difficult than the previous bosses. Or maybe it's just that I suck? Yep. I suck.

cool! I'm a sucker for female vocals. Looking forward to listening.
Knowing how the songs are made and what sort of time and effort goes into them is going to cause me to listen to them much closer when they come out.
I think the percussive aspect is going to sound amazing. I'M a sucker for anything similar to Tom Waits.
I think the new album will be quite differen then the first one?
Wow, assasin't creed. Is it worth it?
I'm waiting for gta4.
Half-Life2 last boss was super easy.
Maybe a Waits out take ...Pure retardation.
Assassin's Creed is ripping. Beautifully designed and fun to play. Perhaps it gets a tad repetitive, but Im OK with that.
