Recording Diary v46
More work on "Nothing".
We started the eve experimenting with different bass tones for the chorus, finally settling on the 12 string Von Bass that mixes nicely with the Clavinet part. This made for a huge piano like string sound, which we like. We jumped up and down and clapped and urinated.
Then our pals Brain and Melissa stopped by to say hi, so we did what we usually do and demanded that Melissa sing a little. We had her do three Queen like operatic chords at the end of the song. She recorded about 9 tracks of harmonies etc which ended up sounding insane/cool. Thanks Melissa! You rule.
After they had enough Craig and I worked on Bass tones for the end section. Craig tried the eight string bass, which sounded appropriately huge.
Then I ran out of steam..went home. Passed out. Im tired of life.
